The goal of this project is to compile research on a chosen workhorse typeface family and develop a specimen booklet for a fictional type distributor, X-Height Studio. While highlighting unique typographical features, the booklet also displays engaging concepts, themes, and layouts inspired by the typeface.

 

For the build of the booklet, I set the page dimensions to 7 x 7” as I felt a square page plays well into the clean and geometric character of the typeface. The chosen color scheme also plays into the geometric theme, being very bright, vivid, and primary. The overall sentiment I wish to convey through my design is that this typeface, although clean and elegant with vintage inspiration, is also playful, bold, and modern.
